Now, I don't usually do these types of posts. Since I don't believe in putting down non-vegetarians,  but I could not help sharing this article with you in spirit of celebrating those that are veggie's!!! Anyway, take it how you want! Most likely with a grain of salt.

Last week I had the utmost pleasure of a lunch date with Annalise Braakensiek!

This stunning superwoman has been an animal activist for as long as she can remember. Having grown up in Byron on a vegan diet, done multiple campaigns for PETA (The Naked Truth About Sheep Export, Save My Sheep)  and worked alongside Cleo Magazine campaigning to stop live sheep exports.

Her heart is defiantly in the right place! As well as being a model and actress, this beauty is a vegetarian cook and lingerie designer!!

From the moment I saw her Prada adds in 2006, I developed my first ever girl crush: Sasha Pivovarova. My first boyfriend at the time will remember this quite clearly.... This Russian stunner is AMAZING!

Not only does she have an incredibly fierce personality that radiates through her editorials and campaigns (Prada, Armarni, Alberta Ferretti, Rag and Bone etc...) she is also a talented artist, very conscious of the being Eco friendly AND has been vegetarian since she was 12 years old!!! It all started the day my sister told me that cheese contained rennet. I didnt believe her at first, thinking she must have gotten the definition of rennet wrong… ^_^’ So I went online and did some research. Not only was it true, but I also found out what gelatin was made of, how they take chickens’ beaks off and how they dont care about sheep when they shave off their wool, often blinding them. I think its kind of heart breaking. I love animals, I’ve had many though out the years, and if ever something like that happened to one of them… So I decided to become vegetarian !

When I was in Norton’s grocery Bondi Jucntion, I found myself reminiscing over the quaint fruit shops in Paris. Then I found myself lusting for the Israeli food in the Marais quarter especially the falafel plates at L’AS DU Fallafel!

I love to grocery shop without a plan and let myself be inspired by the food around me. So I decided I would satisfy my craving! I simply could not resist sharing this meal with you....

It’s been Sydney Food Festival for the past month! And while there was not any specific vegetarian events (at least that I’m aware of) there was a strong emphasis on ‘green cooking’. Events included the Youth Food Movement, Sustainable Food Adventurers and Food in the Fields (where you pick your own veggie’s in Terara!). Sadly I couldn't make it to any of these events, but I did manage to check out the Night Noodle Market at Hyde Park!
